2019 Spring Girls

PRACTICE: Same as last spring, we will be practicing on Mondays and Fridays. During the month of March, we'll mostly be at Duvall(we are looking to secure Turf practice time to avoid missed practice time during rainy weeks as occurred last Spring) and also spend a week at UMD's rec fields. Practices will start in early March.

GAMES: we will be playing in the Metro Girls Lacrosse League (recreational) on Sunday afternoons. Divisions are created by grade. The 5/6 and 7/8 teams are expected to play at Holy Cross, Holy Child and Stone Ridge. The 3/4 location is still uncertain. 1/2s will be playing at Welsh Park. There is a scrimmage PGLL Play day on March 24 that we may participate in. Regular games are from March 31st until May 11 (no games on April 21 Easter Weekend or April 27th Cherry Blossom Tournament that some teams may participate in).

We're looking for at least (2) 1st/2nd and (1)3rd/4th grade parents ready to be part of the coaching teams for these small teams. The more coaches we find, the easier and more fun it will be for everybody. No prior experience required - all we need is your enthusiasm. Our current coaches are ready to get you started with rules and skills. As a bonus, we will waive your registration fees and get you Pride gear. Simply register as a coach or send an email to bruce@pglacrosse.com if you're interested.

REFERRAL AWARDS: we're offering $50 referral credits to those of you who bring in new players girls this season. Make sure new players list you as a referrer during registration.

Boys Lacrosse K-8th Grade Spring 2019

PG Pride, US Lacrosse, and Park & Planning (MNCPPC) are proud to present the 2nd year of our new boys league: Prince George's Youth Lacrosse League (PGYLL) starting in Spring 2018. In keeping with US Lacrosse's new "Lacrosse Athlete Development Model", PGYLL will be a 7v7 (4v4 for K-2nd grade) and be played on a "Small-Sided" field. The "Small-Sided" model is proven to develop stick skills much quicker. PGYLL is inviting all boys in Prince George' County from Kindergarten through 8th Grade to participate in this inaugural season. No experience necessary and all equipment can be provided.
